Today is the beginning of 2023!
It always feel like the new year is full of endless possibilities.
This is our chance to start new and make changes.
実際、アメリカでは、これはまさに 1 月 1 日に行うことです。
多くの人が自分の人生について考え、自分の目標を立てるのが好きです。
これを新年の抱負といいます。
Actually, in America, this is exactly what we do on January 1st.
Many people like to think about their life and make a goal for themselves.
This is called a New Year's resolution.
新年の抱負は、多くのアメリカ人が好む伝統です。
私たちは自分の人生を見て、何を変えたいかを決めます。
通常、新年の抱負には、悪い習慣を変えるか、新しい目標を達成することが含まれます。

A New Year's resolution is a tradition that many Americans like to do.
We look at our life and decide what we want to change.
Typically, a New Year's resolution will involve changing a bad habit or accomplishing a new goal.
A popular resolution is to exercise more and eat healthier.

In medieval days, knights would often renew their vows of chivalry at the start of a new year.
As time marched forward, it slowly became what we know now as the New Year's resolution.
