ただし、これにはマリオがまったく登場しません。
このテレビ番組はクッパが主演！
今日は、奇妙で忘れられがちなアメリカ限定のクッパ TV 番組についてお話したいと思います。
We covered the live-action 1993 Mario movie.
We looked at the three American Mario cartoons.
Now, we have another American-only Mario TV program.
However, this one doesn't feature Mario at all.
This TV program starred Koopa!
Today, I want to tell you about the strange and often forgotten America-only Koopa TV program.
カリフォルニアを拠点とするテレビ番組のタイトルは「King Koopa's Kool Kartoons」でした。
1989 年 9 月 11 日から 11 月 20 日まで、合計 65 のエピソードが放送されました。
クッパの登場は、同時期に放映されていたマリオの漫画に基づいていた.
このプログラムは、フォックス21 テレビジョン・スタジオと協力して漫画を担当した同じ会社であるDICエンターテイメントによって作成されました。
The California-based TV program was titled "King Koopa's Kool Kartoons".
It ran from September 11 – November 20, 1989 for a total of 65 episodes.
Koopa's appearance was based off the Mario cartoon airing around the same time.
The program was created by DIC Entertainment, the same company responsible for the cartoon in collaboration with Fox Television Studios.
クッパは、マリオ フランチャイズの悪役であるにもかかわらず、この子供向け番組のホストでした。

Koopa, despite being the villain of the Mario franchise, was the host of this children's show.
Around 40-60 children would be bussed in from the Los Angeles region for participation.
The children were given special shirts with the words "Koopa's Troopas" printed on it.
They were also given masks which resembled Koopa heads from the Mario games.
Each episode Koopa would introduce a theme as well as show old cartoons which were public domain.
There was also a joke segment, a fanmail segment, and a prize segment.
Strangely enough, Koop was also give a pet rat named Ratso.

しかし、なぜショーがキャンセルされたのかについてはいくつかの謎があります。

The show received positive reviews and was well received by children.
However, there is some mystery on why the show was canceled.
At the time, Fox Television and Disney had a dispute, and it is speculated the show was canceled due to this feud.
The show is also considered lost media at this time.
Due to it's one-time broadcast format, DIC Entertainment didn't consider saving master tapes for the program.
Although home recordings have surfaced, the visual quality is poor and there is still missing episodes.
