「バナナ イン パジャマ」のアイデアは、1967 年にオーストラリアで生まれました。
「プレイ スクール」という子供向け番組で、パジャマを着たバナナについての短い歌が紹介されました。
この歌はクリス ラルフという女性によって書かれ、すぐに若い視聴者の間で人気となりました。
「パジャマを着たバナナが階段を降りてくる」という有名な一節で始まる、シンプルでキャッチーな歌詞です。この番組は大人気で、バナナが本物のキャラクターだったらどうなるだろうと人々が想像し始めました。
Bananas in Pajamas is an Australian children's show which originally aired from July 20th, 1992 to December 14th, 2001.
The idea for Bananas in Pajamas began in 1967 in Australia.
A children’s program called Play School introduced a little song about bananas wearing pajamas.
The song was written by a woman named Kris Ralph, and it quickly became a favorite among young viewers.
The lyrics were simple and catchy, starting with the famous line: “Bananas in pajamas are coming down the stairs.” It was so popular that people started imagining what it would be like if the bananas were real characters.

登場人物は、大きくて柔らかいバナナの衣装を着た俳優によって演じられました。

The characters were played by actors in big, soft banana costumes.
They wore blue-and-white striped pajamas and were called B1 and B2.
These two friendly bananas lived near the beach in a fun, colorful world.
Every day, they had adventures and helped their friends.

衣装を着た人々を使う代わりに、制作者はバナナに命を吹き込むために3Dアニメーションを使用しました。

In 2011, the show was rebooted for new audiences to enjoy.
Instead of using people in costumes, the creators used 3D animation to bring the bananas to life.
The stories were still fun and kind-hearted, and the voices and personalities stayed the same.
アメリカでは「pajama」という言葉の綴りはオーストラリアとは異なり、「pyjamas」と綴られます。
この番組はアメリカで1995年頃に放映が開始されましたが、テレビで見たときは、私には幼稚すぎると思いました。
この番組が放映されるたびに、赤ちゃん番組と関連付けられるのが嫌で、すぐにチャンネルを変えていました。
覚えているのは、テーマソングと、そのコンセプトがいかに馬鹿げていると思ったかだけです。

In America, the word "pajamas" is spelled differently than in Australia, which spells it as "pyjamas."
I remember seeing this show on TV, which began airing in the US around 1995, and thought it was far too childish for me.
Every time it came on, I would quickly change the channel, not wanting to be associated with baby shows.
The only thing I remember is the theme song and how absurd I thought the concept was.
Was this show ever big in Japan?
