最も注目されているのはK-POP音楽とアイドルです！
日本では、多くのK-POPアイドルが若者に人気があります。
韓国料理も日本の若者の間でかなり流行っています。
しかし、韓国の漫画、マンファはまだ主流になっていません。
今日は、私が子供の頃好きだった韓国の漫画を紹介します。
ラグナロクについてお話ししましょう！
Korean culture has become popular all around the world.
Most notable are K-Pop music and Idols!
In Japan, many K-pop idols are popular with younger people.
Korean food has also become quite fashionable with the youth of Japan.
However, Korean comic books, also known as manhwa, haven't made it mainstream yet.
Today, I will introduce you to a Korean comic book I liked as a kid.
Let me tell you about Ragnarok!
ラグナロクは、イ・ミョンジンが執筆・描いた（現在）10巻の漫画シリーズです。
1998年に韓国版少年ジャンプであるコミックチャンプ誌で出版が開始されました。
このシリーズは3年間続き、その後無期限の休止状態に入りました。
Ragnarok is a (currently) 10-volume comic book series written and drawn by Lee Myung-jin.
It began publication in 1998 through the Comic Champ magazine, which is Korea's version of Shonen Jump.
The series ran for 3 years where it entered into a state of indefinite hiatus.
物語はカオスという名の記憶喪失の戦士を追う。
カオスは、彼らの街フェイヨンの次のリーダーである友人のイリスと訓練を受ける。
もう一人の友人フェンリス・フェンリルもまた、予言されたラグナロクを通じて世界の終末をもたらす方法を探している。
物語は北欧神話から多くの要素を取り入れ、魔法、モンスター、戦士の世界を創り出す。
The story follows an amnesiac warrior named Chaos.
Chaos trains with his friend Iris who is next in line to become the leader of their city, Fayon.
Another friend, Fenris Fenrir, is also looking for a way to bring about the end of the world through the prophesied Ragnarok.
The story takes many elements from Norse mythology and creates a world of magic, monsters, and warriors.
このシリーズは絶大な人気を誇り、2002 年にはアメリカでも上演されました。
私はすぐにそのアート スタイルに魅了され、RPG の世界というアイデアが気に入りました。
当時は北欧神話にも詳しくなかったので、多くの名前や概念が新しくて魅力的に感じました。
The series was immensely popular and even brought to America in 2002.
I was immediately drawn to the art style and loved the idea of an RPG world.
I was also unfamiliar with Norse mythology at the time so found many of the names and concepts new and fascinating.
このシリーズは当初40巻以上に及ぶ予定でしたが、作者がラグナロクオンラインゲームの作成に重点を移したため、休止状態になりました。
ゲームは作成され、世界中で絶大な人気を博しました！
しかし、それはまた別の機会にお話ししましょう！
The series was originally planned to span over 40 volumes but was out on hiatus due to the author shifting his focus toward creating a Ragnarok online game.
The game was created and was also immensely popular worldwide!
However, that will be the topic for another time!
