That doesn't sound very exciting does it?
Well, this show went on to become one of the greatest shows ever made.
Today I want to share something special with you.

The show revolves around 4 friends who often find themselves in interesting and humorous situations.
Jerry Seinfeld plays a fictionalized version of himself.
He lives in an apartment in Manhattan's Upper West Side in New York City.
George Costanza is Jerry's best friend and is depicted as petty and unsuccessful, often feeling jealous of others success and willing to lie about his own.
Elaine Benes is Jerry's ex-girlfriend and now friend.
She comes off as intelligent but hot-tempered and often too truthful to others.
Finally there is the wildcard, Cosmo Kramer.
Kramer is Jerry's neighbor and the strangest of the bunch.
He's often dressed in vintage clothes and has a very unique way he presents himself.

Seinfeld draws a lot of it's humor from irony, the incompatibilities between people, and unfortunate coincidences.
The main characters are not particularly good people which is what adds another layer of humor.
The characters are not supposed to grow or become better.
They are happy in their misery and this is what keeps them all together.

For me, this is one of my favorite TV series of all time.
I think the comedy in this show is gold.
I remember watching it as a kid and not understanding it at all, but in my early 20s it made sense.
Sometimes I fear that I can relate to the characters a little too much now.
