Today, I want to introduce an old manga.

Have you ever heard of Cat Eyed Boy?
『猫目小僧』は1967年に漫画家の楳図かずおによって生み出されました。
少年画報社の『少年画報』誌に連載された。
Cat Eyed Boy was created by manga artist Kazuo Umezu in 1967.
It was serialized through Shōnen Gahōsha's Shōnen Gaho magazine.
手塚治虫が漫画の神様なら、楳図かずおはホラー漫画の神様と言われています。
彼のマンガシリーズを読めば、その理由がはっきりとわかります。
『猫目小僧』も例外ではなく、恐怖、恐怖、グロテスクなモンスターに満ちた漫画です。

Abandoned by his family for being too similar to a human he wanders from town to town seeking refuge.
However, like an eternal black cloud following him, there is always a supernatural threat plaguing him.
After defeating the threat, he is blamed by the townspeople and forced to leave.
The character isn't entirely good or evil and often walks a thin gray line between both.

実は今もアメリカの実家に第1巻を所有しています。
The manga was compiled into two volumes and released in English in 2008.
This was where I first encountered the series.
In fact, I still own a copy of the first volume at my parent's house in America.

多くの批評家は本作を古いB級ホラー映画に例え、「人間の魂のぞっとするような描写を生み出す」楳図の能力を称賛した。
The manga saw success in America and was heavily praised for its horror atmosphere and theme.

見たことはないのですが、興味があって見てみたいと思います。
ついに2006年には実写映画化も製作されましたが、私は未見でした。

I have never seen it, but am interested in watching it.
Finally, in 2006 a live-action film adaptation was also produced, which I had never seen.
