I'm not sure, but I think Romeo and Juliet would be at the top of the list.

高校の時、英語の授業でロミオとジュリエットを読まなければなりませんでした。
私たちがしなければならないパフォーマンスさえありました。
キスシーンのせいで恥ずかしがり屋な子が多かったです。

When I was in high school, we were required to read Romeo and Juliet in English class.
There was even a performance that we had to do.
Many kids were shy and embarrassed because of the kiss scene.
I didn't do the kiss scene, but I remember one pair of students who did.
Everyone screamed in the class!

Swords have been replaced with guns and as a joke, the firearms usually have model names such as "Dagger", "Sword", and "Rapier".
Other liberties have also been taken, but it remains fairly accurate to the original story.
Despite being in modern America, the characters still speak in Shakespearean dialogue.
