This time, I'd like to talk a little more about some Muppets.
Recently, I have been fascinated with Jim Henson.
His Muppet creations are so interesting.
He worked hard to create so many shows and inspired many people over the years.

Today I will introduce The Count!
He is a Muppet who is modeled after Bela Lugosi's Dracula!
His full name is Count von Count but everyone calls him The Count.
Of course this is a joke based on Count Dracula's name, but also, he loves to count!

The Count was first introduced in Sesame Street season 4 which aired from 1972-1973.
He was first a bit of a scary character, able to hypnotize other Muppets, and often laughing in a scary way.
However, this was soon toned down, and he became the friendly count that we all love.
He has a signature laugh now which sounds like "ah! ah! ah!".
He also lives in a big castle which is often filled with many bats and has a squeaky door which he likes to ignore.
Finally, after he finishes counting we will often hear thunder and see lightning.
