1年ちょっと前に、アメリカで制作されたアニメについてブログ記事を書きました。
このアニメは、俳優を絵に変換するAI技術を使用して作成されました。
2人の兄弟が王国をめぐって争い、最終的にじゃんけんで運命を決めるという設定です。

今日は、物語の続きをシェアしたいと思います。
今回は、新しいゲームを紹介します。

A little over a year ago, I wrote a blog post about an anime that was produced in America.
This anime was created using AI technology that transformed actors into drawings.
The premise was two brothers fighting over their kingdom ultimately using rock paper scissors to decide their fate.

Today, I want to share the continuation of the story.
This time, a new game is introduced.
Can you guess what it might be?
アニメ「じゃんけん」の続編が2023年8月にYouTubeで公開されました。
2か月ほど前にリサーチを始めたときに初めてこの続編を見つけました。
1作目の公開からこんなに早く公開されたとは驚きました。
Corridor Digitalは2作目の制作価値を高めただけでなく、長さもほぼ2倍にしました！
The sequel to Anime Rock, Scissors, Paper, was released on YouTube in August of 2023.
It wasn't until I started doing research about two months ago that I came across the sequel.
I was surprised when I saw it had been released so soon after the first one.
Not only has Corridor Digital increased the production value of the second episode, but they have nearly doubled the length!
第 2 話は第 1 話の後に起こり、第 1 話でじゃんけんで負けた弟のジュールが、弟のフィリップ王に再び挑戦します。
フィリップは、もはや兄と同等ではなく決闘を要求する権限もないため、彼の挑戦を拒否します。
屈辱を受けたジュールは、王位を取り戻す方法を探して王国を脱出します。
The second episode takes place after the first, where Jules, the brother who lost the rock, paper, scissors match from the first episode returns to challenge King Philip, his brother.
Philip refuses his challenge as he is no longer an equal to his brother and thus has no power to demand a duel.
Jules, humiliated, escapes the kingdom in search of a way to reclaim the throne.
しかし、王国は隣国の蛮族王国に侵略され、古代の別の致命的な戦闘方法を使っています。
蛮族王国は円の力を行使します。
円を見つめる者は誰でも即座に無力化されます。
However, the kingdom is invaded by the neighboring barbarian kingdom, using a different ancient form of deadly combat.
The barbarian kingdom wields the power of the circle.
Anyone who gazes into the circle is instantly incapacitated.
フィリップはなんとか城を守りましたが、2 つの王国の間にさらに大きな戦争を引き起こしました。
蛮族には王がいなくなり、ジュールが王位に就き、再び兄と同等の地位を得ることができました。
物語はクリフハンガーで終わり、将来 3 作目が公開される予定です。
Philip manages to defend his castle but causes a greater war between the two kingdoms.
The barbarians are now without a king, which allows Jules to ascend the throne, again becoming equal to his brother.
The story ends on a cliffhanger with the promise of a third to be released in the future.
残念ながら、YouTube の再生回数を見ると、2 番目の動画のパフォーマンスが 1 番目の動画ほど良くなかったことは明らかです。
これにはさまざまな理由が考えられますが、YouTube のアルゴリズムの変更が原因ではないかと推測する人も多くいます。
私はその動画を知らず、偶然見つけただけなので、アルゴリズムが影響している可能性はあると思います。
もう 1 つのポイントは、1 番目の動画は AI に大きく依存して作成されたため、多くの論争を巻き起こしたことです。
AI は、特に芸術創作の分野ではホットな話題であり、その使用に反対する人も多くいます。
Unfortunately, if looking at YouTube's view count it's clear to see that the second video didn't perform as well as the first.
There could be many reasons for this and many have speculated that YouTube's algorithm change could be to blame.
I agree that the algorithm could have played a part in it, as I didn't know the video and only stumbled onto it by chance.
Another point is that the first video generated a lot of controversy for heavily relying on AI to create it.
AI is a hot topic, especially in the field of artistic creation and many people are against its use.
偶然この動画に出会えて嬉しく、続編が作られるのを見て興奮しました。
1作目は、その馬鹿げた前提と大げさな誇張が気に入りました。
2作目も楽しめましたが、1作目に比べると物足りないと思います。
そうは言っても、私はまだ楽しめましたし、最後の動画で物語を終わらせてくれることを願っています！
I'm happy that I stumbled onto the video and was excited to see a sequel was made.
I enjoyed the first one for its ridiculous premise and over-the-top exaggeration.
The second one is also enjoyable but I do think it's lacking compared to the first.
With that being said, I still enjoyed it, and I hope they can finish the story with a final video!
