But we are coming to an end.
There are only a few more topics that I'd like to discuss.
This time, I want to talk about the sequel to the first film.
Today, let's discuss Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze!

最初の映画の成功により、予算は2倍の2,500万ドルに増額されました。

The second Ninja Turtles film was released on March 22, 1991, almost 1 year after the first film's release.
Due to the success of the first film, the budget was doubled to $25 million.
The movie was again a success, but not as much as the first film.
It grossed $78.7 million at the box office.

前作の主な敵対者であるシュレッダーが、今回は 2 人の新しい悪役とともに戻ってきます。

The plot of the movie focuses on environmental issues and was toned down to be much more kid-friendly.
The main antagonist of the previous movie, Shredder, returns this time with two new villains.
Shredder obtained a chemical mutagen that was responsible for creating the original ninja turtles.
He uses this mutagen to create two new mutated animals.
One from a snapping turtle and another from a wolf.
The turtles must defeat the two mutated animals and stop Shredder.

Many of the turtle's iconic weapons aren't used.
Many critics have also stated that the movie is boring for adults as the dialogue tends to be simple for children to understand.
The movie also leans into pop culture making references to popular media at the time.
One particular scene even features a cameo of a famous rapper at the time.
The rapper goes on to perform a song just for the movie.
