アメリカでは、ハロウィーンの日は、子供たち全員が仮装して、近所でトリック・オア・トリートをする日です。
日本ではハロウィンに向けてさまざまなイベントが行われますが、ハロウィン当日にイベントが行われることはほとんどありません。
It's finally that frightful day, Halloween!
It's been a long buildup, but we can finally enjoy Halloween!
However, it's a little different in Japan.
In America, Halloween day is when all the kids get dressed up and go trick-or-treating throughout their neighborhood.
In Japan, there are many events leading up to Halloween, but rarely any event on Halloween day.

It premiered in October 1993 in America and was something of a cult classic.
The movie is the brainchild of Tim Burton.
Coming off the success of Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, and Batman, Burton finally had a chance to create a film he had wanted to make since the early 1980s.

However, Burton was busy with his work on Batman Returns, so directing duties fell to Henry Selick as his directorial debut.

When he enters he is transported to the world of Christmas.

He orders the capture of Santa Claus and proclaims he will deliver Christmas this year.

After rescuing Santa, Santa restores Christmas to the world, and to show there are no hard feelings, brings snow and Christmas spirit to the people of Halloween Town.
