Perhaps this is because everything is new and impactful for us.
I often remember many TV shows, games, toys, and movies from my childhood.
Today, I want to share a movie with you that I watched as a kid.
Lets talk about the movie about a killer whale, Free Willy!

The movie was directed by Simon Wincer, produced by Lauren Shuler Donner, and distributed by Warner Brothers.
Written by Keith A. Walker the movie stars a young boy named Jesse who meets and befriends an orca named Willy.

Willy's real name is Keiko and was a captive orca at the amusement park Reino Aventura in Mexico City.
Upon the movie's success fans around the world were moved by Keiko and started a movement called "Free Keiko".
Warner Bros., the films distributor, was so touched by the sentiment they began a rehabilitation process to release Keiko into the wild.
Keiko was moved to The Oregon Coast Aquarium in the United States where rehabilitation began.
In 2002, Keiko was moved to Iceland for the final rehabilitation process and was soon released into the sea near a pod of orcas.
Unfortunately, Keiko could not adapt to the wild and had become too dependent on humans for food and and company.
Keiko was found dead due to pneumonia and a deformed fin in a Norwegian bay on December 12, 2003.

The final scene from the movie was quite memorable and left a lasting impression on me as a kid.
Sometimes it's nice to recall the simple joys of your childhood and be transported back in time when we had no worries at all.
