Sometimes when we take a look at global events, life can feel a little scary.
At present, we have Russia's invasion of Ukraine, China threatening to take Taiwan, North Korea shooting missiles, a global energy crisis, and much more.
Thinking about all the problems can make you feel overwhelmed and hopeless.
But the truth is, every generation has these feelings.
Every generation goes through global crises that feel as if the world will end.
This reminds me of a song.

We talked about Billy Joel in June when we discussed "Piano Man".
This is a song that was written 16 years after Piano Man was released.
It was in response to Billy talking to Sean Lennon, who at the time was 21, while Billy was 40.
Sean said, "It's a terrible time to be 21!"
As the conversation continued Sean went on to say the previous generations had nothing to worry about, which shocked Billy.
It was then Billy realized many younger people weren't aware of everything that had happened in the previous generation.
