I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus is one of the more popular Christmas songs to have been created.
However, the version that most people are familiar with now is not the original.
The original was recorded in 1952.
The music and lyrics were created by British songwriter Tommie Connor and was first sung and recorded by American singer Jimmy Boyd.

Jimmy was only 13 at the time of the recording.
