On March 31st, I introduced the song "It's My Party" by Lesley Gore.
I also talked about a movie from the early 90's titled Problem Child.
Today, I want to take a closer look at this movie.
1990 年に 1,000 万ドルの予算で公開されたこの映画は、ブラック コメディと評されました。
この映画は、さらに多くのコメディ映画を制作することになるデニス・デューガンの監督デビュー作でした。
また、ギルバート・ゴットフリードという名前の好きな俳優も主演しました。
日本では名前を知らない方も多いかもしれませんが、アラジンのイアーゴ（鳥）の声を担当していました。
映画の興行収入は7000万ドルを超えました。
Released in 1990 with a budget of $10 million, the film was described as a black comedy.
The film was the directorial debut for Dennis Dugan, who would go on to create many more comedy films.
It also starred an actor whom I like named Gilbert Gottfried.
Many people in Japan might not recognize his name, but he was the voice of Iago (the bird) from Aladdin.
The movie went on to gross more than $70 million at the box office.
映画の筋書きは、ジュニアという名前の7歳の少年を中心に展開しています。
彼は孤児で、ベンの養子になります。
彼の過去のトラウマのために、ジュニアはしばしば行動し、トラブルを引き起こします。
ベンは、性格が悪いにもかかわらず少年を愛し続けるか、孤児院に戻すかという難しい決断を迫られます。
The plot of the movie revolves around a 7 year old boy named Junior.
He is an orphan and gets adopted by Ben.
Due to his past trauma Junior often acts out and causes trouble.
Ben is left with the difficult decision to continue to love the boy despite his bad nature or to return him to the orphanage.
この映画は子供の頃に見たのですが、誕生日のシーン以外は何も覚えていません。
これは、レスリー・ゴアの歌がどれほど人気があったかの証かもしれません。

I watched this movie as a child, but I don't remember any of it except for the birthday scene.
