The Beach Boys are an American rock band formed in 1961.
Formed in California, a lot of their earlier music was reminiscent of California life at the time.
This included themes of surfing, cars, and romance.
By 1965 they began to abandon the beach themed songs and began to experiment with many types of music.
In 1966 they released what is considered their greatest album, Pet Sounds, cementing them into rock and roll history.
