ご存知の方も多いと思いますが、アメリカのバレンタインデーは日本とは大きく異なります。
アメリカでは、バレンタインデーは男女問わず祝われます。
バレンタインデーに男性が女性に花やチョコレートを贈るのは普通のことです。
逆に、女性が男性にささやかな贈り物をすることもできます。
I'm sure many of you are aware, but Valentines Day in America is very different than in Japan.
In America, Valentines Day is celebrated by both men and women.
It's normal for men to give flowers or chocolate to women on Valentines Day.
Vice versa, women can also give a small gift to men as well.
学校の小学校では、クラスメートごとにバレンタインカードを作ります。
箱も作り、各生徒がカードを箱に入れます。
とても楽しく、お互いに優しいメッセージを書くことができます。
In school elementary school, the class will make a valentines card for each classmate.
We also make a box, and each student places a card in the box.
It's a lot of fun, and we can write kind messages to each other.

A romantic dinner is also very popular for couples.
It is very similar to Japanese Christmas Eve.
