For me, the original version by Eartha Kitt will always be my go-to version.
I enjoy a bit of sarcasm and wit and feel it really helps set the song apart from the typical line-up of Christmas songs.
Not to mention, if you're going to ask anyone for extravagant gifts on Christmas, Santa is probably the best person to do so.
