元々は1968年から1970年まで講談社の『ぼくらマガジン』に掲載され、その後1970年から1971年まで『週刊少年マガジン』に移籍した。
14巻まで連載されました。
その後、東映アニメーションがこの漫画を原作としたアニメを制作することになる。
アニメは 1969 年 10 月 2 日から 1971 年 9 月 30 日まで 105 話にわたって放送されました。
Tiger Mask is a manga that was written by Ikki Kajiwara and illustrated by Naoki Tsuji in 1968.
It was originally published in Kodansha's Bokura Magazine from 1968 to 1970 and later moved to Weekly Shōnen Magazine from 1970 to 1971.
It ran for 14 volumes.
Later, Toei animation would create an anime based on the manga.
The anime ran for 105 episodes from October 2, 1969 – September 30, 1971.

The story of Tiger Mask involves a man named Naoto Date.
He was a vicious and feared fighter in the ring and acted as a heel, which is the wrestling word for villain.
After returning to Japan and visiting his childhood home, he overheard a boy saying he wanted to be a villain, just like Tiger Mask.
Not wanting to encourage young kids to follow in his footsteps he turned over a new leaf and became a hero, also known as a face in wrestling.
