I often start to feel quite nostalgic for many things around this time, too.
最近、子供の頃のポケモンのテーマソングを思い出しました。
アメリカでは、1998 年にポケモンのアニメが初演されました。
もちろん新曲も含めて英訳されている。
Recently, I remembered the Pokémon theme song from my childhood.
In America, the Pokémon anime premiered in 1998.
Of course it was translated into English, including a brand new theme song.
テーマソングはアメリカで非常に人気があり、ポケモンフランチャイズ全体の代名詞となった。
The theme song became so popular in America, that it was synonymous with the Pokémon franchise as a whole.
もともとジェイソン・ペイジによって1998年にアニメのために録音され、1999年にポケモン音楽CDのために再録音され拡張された。
Originally recorded for the anime in 1998 by Jason Paige, it was again re-recorded and extended for the Pokémon music CD in 1999.
2016 年にポケモン GO がモバイル デバイスでリリースされ、ポケモン テーマへの関心が再燃しました。

In 2016 Pokémon Go was released on mobile devices, and this caused a resurgence of interest in the Pokémon theme.
After almost 20 years, Jason Paige decided to re-record the song one more time.

2019年に公開された映画『名探偵ピカチュウ』で主題歌が歌われました。
The song would go on to be used in the trailer for Pokémon: Lets go Eevee/Pikachu in 2018.
In 2019 the song was featured in the movie Detective Pikachu.

I really love the Japanese Pokémon theme song, but the American version will always have a nostalgic spot in my heart.
